at the museum i found a really astonishing art piece. its by some called Da-Ho Suh. he made a sculpture out of rejected military dog tags. he has a quote in his interview stating. "I wanted the viewer to have an experience with these little dog tags, these thousands of dog tags. it symbolizes each individual's identity... these many dog tags create this one, larger than life figure. its ambiguous wether you're a part of it or not." now when i first saw this art piece it reminded me of the christ redeemer statue on Rio De Janeiro. i just love this piece of art.

my other favorite piece of work was by the photographer of the name Kim Keever. he had the piece called "sunset" and it was just beautiful. his " panoramic photographs represent the evolution of landscape painting embodied by the hudson river school, luminism, and Romanticism." this is how he describes it on his bio on Artspace.com

I really like your blog and how the background and style really show your personality. It was really interesting to read about all the pieces of art and how people who haven't attended this museum would still be able to understand the art and its meaning. Make sure that when you are blogging you capitalize the first letter of all the sentences that way it will have more of a professional appeal. Otherwise I really enjoyed looking at your blog!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures bro. I like how you described alot of the artwork too. You used a good vocabulary instead of saying the same describing words over and over again. So....good job dude.
