recently i ran by this article about a senior who tweeted a comment about a collage. while she was at a college visit at that college. "it was incredibly unusual and foolish of her to do that". says scott A. Meiklejohn, Bowdoins dean of admissions and financial aid. throughout this article it has a lot to relate to social media. a lot of people get truly upset and argue what happened to her. but truthfully she should of known better. obviously colleges look at your social media and people should be cautious of what they put on face-book, twitter, Instagram, etc. so basically if you have anything on your social media you need to delete it and hope no one noticed, this way colleges will have less on you and not know more things that you do not want them to know. so i would be very carefull with all information you put on the internet.

so recently i visited the Nerman Museum at JCCC community collage. and i am not a big Museum kind of guy, but it was actually pretty interesting. they had a whole exhibit from the artist Kaws. i have been researching about him for the past weeks, and it was just really cool to actually see some of his art work unclose. its like you could really feel what he was trying to say through some of his pieces.

at the museum i found a really astonishing art piece. its by some called Da-Ho Suh. he made a sculpture out of rejected military dog tags. he has a quote in his interview stating. "I wanted the viewer to have an experience with these little dog tags, these thousands of dog tags. it symbolizes each individual's identity... these many dog tags create this one, larger than life figure. its ambiguous wether you're a part of it or not." now when i first saw this art piece it reminded me of the christ redeemer statue on Rio De Janeiro. i just love this piece of art.

my other favorite piece of work was by the photographer of the name Kim Keever. he had the piece called "sunset" and it was just beautiful. his " panoramic photographs represent the evolution of landscape painting embodied by the hudson river school, luminism, and Romanticism." this is how he describes it on his bio on Artspace.com

Graffiti vs. logos

over this post i will be showing the differences and similarities for logos and graffiti. they both have very key things that they have alike but also makes them very opposite.

first lets start with the similarities. throughout all of the logos and pieces of graffiti, you will see that there is always something more than what meets the eye, you will always be able to take that piece of art and really dissect it for what it resembles. for example "Google",  although the name is just weird you can see all the colors it has.  those colors are very popular colors for kid toys, and it has an expression of imagination and creativity. and even the similarities are that they are always different. there is no two of the same logo, and same with graffiti.

okay so now that there is a basic knowledge of similarities, lets go to differences. logos, always something simple. very easy to point out and recognize what it is. it represents its self, its compony, and what it does. and with graffiti, its almost complete opposite with simple, you will almost never see a good simple graffiti. because graffiti is so abstract and vibrant, it catches the eye in so many ways, its not something that you can move from place to place, graffiti has a background that makes it stand out how it does. graffiti also has so much creativity in it, yes logos have creativity and take a long time, but graffiti it just so much flashier and shows a lot more. and with creativity and color, comes individualism and each artist shows themselfs through there work, and sometimes even stories, although its not to easy to really see the deep meaning behind it. its almost like the poetry back in the 1930's to where you might have to read one paragraph for an entire to understand its full meaning, its verry similar with graffiti and art. you have to look at the colors, the lines and shapes, and even whats not there. to understand what it means.

The Myers-Briggs personality test is the Human metrics Jung Typology Test is coming to an understanding of the personalities of those around you, and how your personality traits fit with other people and their traits. Overall it helps to make it easier to understand why a person thinks and acts in certain ways. My famous person that I relate to is Hannibal; he was a Punic Carthaginian military commander, generally considered one of the greatest military commanders in history.
I think this is spot on in the parts where people react differently to emotions, and how I am not a person that lets emotions change or justify what I should be doing even though it might not feel the best. But I also think I am more of an introvert thinker and the HJT test says that I am only 11% introversion over extroversion.
I have known that I am an introvert thinker because I have taken a test like this a year or two back. And it has helped tremendously to really understand myself and why I think and act certain ways. And I tend to think more and act later and I can see myself doing that in a lot of different things.
My personality type does clarify what role I tend to take when I am on a team, of me knowing so many people that act first think later, and I always think first and act later. Which from my perspective benefits me in the long run because I pick what to do by what I will gain the most from. When the role I take and it fits my way of thinking, its great, I complete my task and do a great job at it. When it doesn’t I feel rushed and it usually does not turn out to be my best quality.
People in my past may have misunderstood my personality because I might take a little longer to start doing but I tend to finish first as well because I have everything I am going to do planned out. I don’t really have issues with people that are opposite thinking of me. One of my best friends that I have been friends with since I was five, is a person that always acts firsts and thinks later, and I can see the differences in our lives because of how differently we think, but we always get along, when everyone is against him I am not because I understand him and sometimes I am the only one that can actually see the good in him. And same for him.

I have not really learned anything new from this assignment other than what famous people think like me and just more details about what does it really mean to be a INTJ and an introvert thinker.
